The Caribbean Cleanse is a fusion of over 20 years of my personal and professional wisdom in the area of healing of the nervous system, cleansing and nutrition and power of plant medicine, herbs and foods particularly those which are indigenous to Jamaica.

I chose Treasure Beach as the location for this year’s Caribbean cleanse because it’s the place where I feel my nervous system fully slow down and given permission to heal. Back in 2014 when I received the diagnosis of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Treasure Beach is the first place I came to dive deeply into my own healing.
Our accommodation is located on Jamaica’s South Coast in the cherished community of Treasure Beach known for its pastoral seaside surroundings, community atmosphere, nature-adventure excursions and laid back vibes. The natural and unspoiled surroundings of the community force you to disconnect. There is a certain simplicity about life in Treasure Beach that changes perspectives and removes the ‘urgencies’ forced upon us by life’s daily demands. In Treasure Beach, there is no urgency, and there is no guilt, just a feeling of the present moment – a powerful shift in perspective.
Treasure Beach is often referred to as “the last of old Jamaica.” There’s a quaintness and simplicity to it that feels like the days of old have been preserved. You won’t find any multilevel resorts or cruise ships here. Instead you’ll see funky beachside bungalows, wooden cottages and uniquely designed homes and boutique hotels. Fishing canoes, bicycles or even a pod of dolphins are more likely to pass you by than a tour bus. There’s no separation between locals and visitors. They ebb and flow together as easily as the waves rolling onto the shore.
It’s where I wrote the protocol to deeply cleanse my own gut and allow myself to heal not knowing, that I’d be sharing it with you a decade later for this retreat…

Chiropractor, Yogi, Mother and Founder of The Caribbean Cleanse, Dr. Tracey Norman first moved to Jamaica 13 years ago as part of her own healing journey having received a Hashimoto’s disease diagnosis.
It was supposed to be a rejuvenating stint - an extended cleansing retreat, but it was destined to become home and here she remains with her husband and two young children a decade on.
Highly respected and in demand for her powerful blend of science and intuition, Tracey is passionate about empowering people to wake up to their body’s capacity to self heal and food and herbs as medicine.
Today, the holistic mama has helped thousands of people to transform from burn out to body bliss and shares her healing gifts island wide.

A simple tropical modern design on a dramatic beach front landscape, expect mountain to sea views at every turn. Sculpted white staircases and rounded curved walls allow cool ocean breezes to course through the villa’s indoor and outdoor spaces. Just steps away from the beach, they are designed with a purity that both integrates and contrasts with its vibrant natural surroundings.
If you feel inspired to extend your healing trip and share the love through voluntary work in the local area, we are happy to recommend some wonderful local initiatives including The Treasure Beach Women’s Centre and we need one more example. The parish of ST. Elizabeth which houses Treasure Beach is a beautiful place to explore, contributing to community tourism via experiences like a boat ride with Captain Dennis, in the process!

Steppa is a private villa located on the same property as Peeniwalli. Both are part of the Kotch collection and can be rented individually or together for large or small family and friend getaways or a special retreat. Steppaz has 3-bedrooms, a family-sized kitchen and living room, a pool and a large outdoor lounge and bar area.

With its own pool connected to an outdoor dining and lounge area, Peeniwalli can be rented on its own or along with Steppaz villa – another home in the Kotch collection located on the same property.
